This was a song that I wrote for myself. I used to be a person who would be consumed with this or that to the point that I would miss so much of what each day had for me. I was reading in Matthew and I was really impacted with the peace found in the words before me. I was so impacted that I wanted to be able to recall them any time I was stressed. This song is what came of that attempt to remember. I never really sang it for anyone until my grandmothers funeral. I was asked to sing a song and this one seemed to be appropriate. Matt 6:25-34 |

lyrics... home bio album journal live music photo feed the family Just let it all go Set yourself free this is not your show And it never will be It's all under control So slow down and take it easy Cause what you need is known So just let it be
Darlin have you have seen The flowers on the ground Never has there been A nicer garment found The splendor of a king Is not even as profound As the way I cover you and all that surrounds So let today be today There is enough for you to do And let tomorrow, let tomorrow worry for you
Tell me, have you heard The songs that fill the sky Sung by the callow birds So fragile yet alive Of what nature must be stirred In order to prepare The next meal that they consume The burden that I bare Oh, you of little faith, Don't worry what you'll drink, what you'll eat, or what you'll wear For those who do not know, Chase after things like these Instead choose to replace, Your worry with a strong and steady stare, On the righteousness you know, You'll slowly realize, you've got everything you need |
